The US Chemical Safety Board (CSB) has released a 14-minute safety video to complement its safety bulletin published in March, highlighting the hazards involved in undertaking hot work on and around storage tanks and presenting the seven key lessons learned from its investigation of a number of recent incidents. The video uses 3-D animations to depict three of these incidents and an interview with one of the victims. In particular, the video stresses the need for effective gas monitoring.
